Membrane switch keyboards with EMC shielding

The membrane switch keyboard is shielded by the application of a shielding layer of silver in the construction. This silver shielding is connected to mounted windows and to the shielding cabinet. Membrane switch keyboards can be shielded against both the cabinet (integrated electronics) and the surroundings.

Connection to cabinet

There are various options for connection. The shielding layer may be equipped with its own cable which can then be connected to the frame by means of terminal or screw mounting. It is also possible to make use of the same connector as the one used for the connection of the membrane switch keyboard keys and LEDs.

Mounted windows are shielded by means of conductive adhesives which can be transformed directly to the cabinet, so that the shielding covers the entire exterior of the device.
